Amitabh Bachchan And Abhishek Bachchan Arrive To Pay Their Last Respects To The Legendary Actor

Hailed as a ‘Tragedy King’, Kumar was one of Indian cinema’s greatest actors, who died on Wednesday in Mumbai.

Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were seen arriving at legendary actor Dilip Kumar’s funeral on Wednesday evening. The veteran actor passed away at the age of 98. He was laid to rest with full state honours at Juhu Qabrastan around 4:30 pm on July 7.

Big B arrived at the cemetery with his son Abhishek to pay their last respects to Dilip Saab.

Soon after the news of Dilip Kumar’s demise broke out, fans and celebs started mourning his loss. Even Big B took to Twitter and penned a heartfelt note for Dilip saab. He wrote, “An institution has gone.  Whenever the history of Indian Cinema will be written, it shall always be ‘before Dilip Kumar, and after Dilip Kumar.” Offering his condolences to the Saira Banu, he wrote, “My duas for peace of his soul and the strength to the family to bear this loss. Deeply saddened.”

The official statement was shared on his Twitter handle that read, “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, a few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him, we return.”

Earlier in the day, several Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Karan Johar, and Dharmendra among others were snapped at Dilip Kumar’s Bandra home. Shah Rukh Khan, who is very close to the couple, was also seen consoling a heartbroken Saira Banu.
