According to the Edhi Foundation, the deceased included men and women from different areas of the city. The circumstances surrounding the deaths varied, ranging from suspected suicides and accidental death to cardiac arrest and excessive intoxication.
Two women found dead in separate areas
The Edhi Foundation said an 18-year-old girl was found dead in the Khokhar Road area of Badami Bagh.
According to the foundation, the girl died by suicide after hanging herself from a ceiling fan. Meanwhile, another woman, identified as 35-year-old Javaria, was found dead in the Satto Katla area near Wapda Town.
The Edhi Foundation said she died after consuming poisonous tablets. The two incidents occurred in separate parts of Lahore. Police and relevant authorities have begun examining the circumstances surrounding both deaths.
Labourer dies after falling from roof
In another incident, the body of a 40-year-old labourer was found in the Badami Bagh area.
The deceased was identified as Hassan. According to the Edhi Foundation, he died after falling from the roof while working at an industrial site.
The incident has also been included in the investigation as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.
Elderly man dies from cardiac arrest
A 70-year-old man was also found dead near a bus stand in Lahore’s Shera Kot area. According to the Edhi Foundation, the man died after suffering a cardiac arrest.
His body was subsequently recovered and shifted for further procedures.
Three men found dead in separate areas
Authorities also recovered the body of a 40-year-old man from the Kot Mohammad Hussain area of Chung. The deceased was identified as a drug addict, according to the Edhi Foundation.
Separately, a 25-year-old unidentified man was found dead near the Shadman Underpass. The Edhi Foundation said the man died due to excessive intoxication.
Another unidentified man, aged 45, was found dead near Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Multan Road. According to the foundation, he also died due to excessive intoxication.
The identities of the two unidentified men had not been established at the time of the report.
Police investigate deaths from different angles
Following the recovery of the bodies, police and other investigative departments began collecting evidence. Authorities have started investigations into the deaths from all angles. The investigations will seek to establish the circumstances surrounding each incident.
The cases occurred in different parts of Lahore and involved different reported causes of death. Meanwhile, the Edhi Foundation used its ambulances to shift all the recovered bodies to the mortuary.
