KARACHI: For the fifth consecutive Session, the Pakistani rupee lost value versus the US dollar in the interbank market.
Forex dealers report that during intraday trading, the price of the dollar compared to the local currency rose by 0.11 paisa. In the interbank market, the Pakistani rupee was trading for Rs219 against the US dollar.
The forex dealers reported that the banks are selling USD for Rs219.76.
According to foreign exchange traders, the price of the US dollar on the open market ranges from Rs223 to Rs226.
Yesterday, the rupee closed at Rs218.89 against the US dollar.
