Twelve police personnel were arrested on Tuesday after two dacoits escaped from custody at Civil Court Ubauro. The arrests followed an FIR registered against the personnel over alleged negligence that allowed the suspects to flee.
The incident occurred on Monday when two dacoits escaped from the court premises. The suspects were identified as Rahab Shar and Morio Shar, who were being brought before the court.
Two Dacoits Escape From Court
Police officials said the two suspects managed to flee from Civil Court Ubauro on Monday.
According to officials, the personnel assigned to guard the suspects failed to maintain adequate vigilance.
As a result, Rahab Shar and Morio Shar managed to escape from custody.
The incident prompted authorities to take action against the police personnel responsible for their security.
An FIR was subsequently registered on the complaint of the state.
12 Police Personnel Arrested
Following the registration of the case, police arrested 12 personnel and placed them behind bars.
Officials held the personnel responsible for the escape because of alleged negligence and a lack of vigilance.
Those arrested include ASI Nazir Bharo, Zafarullah, Ali Gohar and Mazhar Hussain.
The arrests reflect the action taken against the personnel following the escape of the two suspects.
Meanwhile, the case remains focused on determining the circumstances that allowed the dacoits to flee.
