China will help Pakistan establish a state-of-the-art law enforcement center using artificial intelligence technology.
The agreement was reached during a meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met visiting Chinese Vice Minister for Public Security Gao Qi.
Pakistan-China Security Cooperation
The two sides discussed stronger cooperation against terrorism and drug trafficking.
They also agreed to expand police training exchanges between the two countries.
Pakistan and China will further cooperate on advanced law enforcement technology and equipment.
China Supports Pakistan’s Counterterrorism Efforts
Gao Qi praised Pakistan’s sacrifices and commitment in the fight against terrorism.
Naqvi said the new AI-based center would become another symbol of the strong Pakistan-China relationship.
He said Chinese artificial intelligence technology and modern equipment could help Pakistan address emerging security challenges.
The proposed center is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s law enforcement capabilities through advanced technology and closer cooperation with China.
