Master Changan Motor Limited has announced delivery delays of up to three weeks for the Deepal S05 in Pakistan due to international shipping disruptions.
The company said adverse weather in China disrupted shipping schedules and created a shortage of available freight vessels. Consequently, shipments carrying vehicles to Pakistan have faced delays beyond the company’s original delivery timelines.
Typhoon Disrupts International Shipments
According to Master Changan, a typhoon in China affected shipping operations and reduced the availability of freight vessels. The disruption has contributed to delays in transporting Deepal S05 units to Pakistan.
The company also pointed to ongoing port congestion as another factor affecting shipment schedules. The congestion followed a transporter strike in August, further complicating logistics and extending expected delivery times.
As a result, customers awaiting their Deepal S05 vehicles may experience delays of up to three weeks. The company has acknowledged the disruption and said the delays are linked to circumstances affecting international transportation.
Company Working To Reduce Delays
Master Changan said it is coordinating with its logistics partners to minimize the impact of the disruptions. The company added that it is working to deliver vehicles to customers as soon as possible once shipments move through the affected logistics network.
Meanwhile, the automaker apologized to customers for the inconvenience caused by the delayed deliveries. The company did not indicate any change to the vehicle’s availability or specifications in Pakistan.
The latest announcement highlights how weather-related disruptions, vessel shortages and port congestion can affect automotive supply chains and delivery schedules across international markets.
