ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) started allotting residential plots in Islamabad, ending a decade-long wait for thousands of allottees. The plots are located in the E-12, C-14 and I-12 sectors, where allotments had remained pending for the past 10 years. More than 7,000 plots will be allotted to the applicants.
Plots allotted across three sectors
According to the CDA, 2,257 plots have been allotted in Sector E-12, 558 plots in Sector C-14 and about 4,500 plots in Sector I-12. Furthermore, the authority has uploaded complete plot details on its official website to facilitate allottees.
The CDA said successful applicants can obtain their allotment letters by submitting applications through the One Window system. Officials expect the process to provide long-awaited relief to plot owners who have been waiting for possession.
Possession process moves ahead
Earlier, on June 17, 2026, the CDA’s engineering wing requested the Estate Management Directorate to begin handing over possession of ready plots in the three sectors. In an official letter, the engineering wing confirmed that plots in C-14, I-12 and parts of E-12 were ready for possession.
Moreover, officials urged an early start to the possession process, stating that allottees had repeatedly requested the authority to hand over their plots. The letter also included details of the completed plots prepared for possession.
The latest allotment campaign indicates a significant step toward resolving pending residential allotment cases. It will accelerate development in Islamabad’s expanding housing sectors.
