BYD Pakistan has celebrated the first anniversary of the Shark 6 with the launch of an exclusive new colour edition.
Mega Motor Company, the official partner of BYD in Pakistan, unveiled the “Outback Orange” anniversary edition at the Pakistan Auto Show 2026 in Lahore.
The BYD Shark 6 entered Pakistan as the country’s first plug-in hybrid pickup. It combines high performance, advanced hybrid technology and off-road capability in a single vehicle.
Danish Khaliq, Vice President Sales and Strategy at BYD Pakistan – MMC, said the company identified a gap in Pakistan’s pickup segment. The aim was to offer customers traditional pickup capability with the technology and driving experience of a plug-in hybrid.
He added that customer response during the first year showed growing interest in advanced vehicle technology.
The BYD Shark 6 is powered by the company’s Super DMO technology. It delivers 436 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. The pickup also offers a combined driving range of up to 800 kilometres.
The new anniversary edition retains the same performance and technology while introducing the distinctive Outback Orange exterior colour.
The vehicle is designed for both daily commuting and adventurous journeys. It features dedicated Mud, Snow and Sand driving modes to improve performance across different road conditions.
BYD Pakistan has also introduced a special anniversary offer for customers.
Bookings made between October 1 and October 31 will qualify for vehicle delivery within 30 days on selected colours after full payment.

The anniversary edition highlights BYD’s efforts to expand its presence in Pakistan’s growing electrified vehicle market.
