A divorced woman, identified as Saba Bibi, died after a stabbing attack in Burewala on Saturday, in an alleged “honour” killing. Police registered a first information report (FIR) naming five suspects, including her father, following the incident in a village.
The incident occurred in village 229-EB of Burewala, where the accused allegedly invited Saba Bibi to her father’s house before attacking her with a knife. Reports indicate that her father and uncles were also present when the attack took place.

According to initial reports, the accused repeatedly stabbed Saba Bibi during the attack. After receiving information about the incident, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rana Imran Tipu rushed to the scene.
Police shifted the injured woman to a hospital in critical condition. However, she later succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the killing and the allegations of an honour-related motive.
Police Register FIR Naming Five Suspects
Saba Bibi’s family members reportedly declined to pursue legal action against the accused. Nevertheless, police registered an FIR on behalf of the victim’s uncle.
The FIR names five suspects, including Tayyab Nawaz Kharal. It also names the victim’s father, Zulfiqar Kharal, in connection with the case.
Police have initiated legal proceedings following the fatal attack. Further investigation will establish the individual roles of the nominated suspects and the circumstances that led to the woman’s death.

The killing has been reported as an alleged honour-related crime. However, investigators must establish the motive and verify the allegations through the ongoing investigation.
