Bowl of Ash
LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Lahore police have recovered a ‘bowl of ash’ from Zaman Park when they arrested PTI chairman Imran Khan in connection with the Toshakhana case.
A team of police officers led by DIG Investigation Imran Kishore executed the arrest. During the raid at Zaman Park, Khan requested the police to present a warrant. Upon being shown the document, Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, intervened.
“Are you leading the raid?” questioned Bushra Bibi to DIG.
According to police, Bushra Bibi used a threatening tone and inappropriate language to prevent the personnel from searching the house.
“Do not handle those sacred things; you are not in a state of ablution,” admonished Bushra Bibi to DIG Kishore.
In response, the police official retorted, “How do you know I am not in a state of ablution? What is in the bowl on the table?”
“What is the ash in the bowl? Is it used for magic?” he inquired from Bushra.
DIG stated that they also confiscated four mobile phones during the search operation, which have been sent for forensic analysis.
