Speculation about a possible wedding involving Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has gripped the social media in Pakistan and abroad.
However, the PPP has rejected reports claiming that Bilawal is engaged or planning to marry later this year.
PPP denies marriage reports
Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, who also serves as Bilawal’s spokesperson, described reports about his engagement or marriage as incorrect and unfounded.
Meanwhile, social media reports claimed that President Asif Ali Zardari had travelled to Austria with family members to discuss Bilawal’s wedding plans.
The reports further suggested that Bilawal could marry towards the end of this year. They also claimed his alleged fiancée was from Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein.
However, neither Bilawal nor his family has made an official announcement confirming an engagement or wedding date.
Bilawal previously discussed marriage
Bilawal has previously spoken publicly about his plans to marry but has avoided revealing details about a potential spouse.
During the United Nations General Assembly session in 2022, he said he had plans to marry when asked about his personal life.
Earlier, in 2016, Bilawal said his future bride would need to win over his sisters before marriage.
