A group of Pakistani actors has joined a humanitarian mission in Jordan to support Palestinians displaced from Gaza. The five-day mission ran from September 29 to October 3 in partnership with UK-registered charity SKT Welfare. The delegation worked with local teams to provide food, comfort and practical support to families affected by the conflict.
Pakistani Actors Distribute Food Parcels
The delegation included Jawed Shaikh, Khaled Anam, Saba Hamid, Shagufta Ejaz, Kubra Khan, Gohar Rasheed, Ahmed Ali Akbar, Ally Khan and Nabeel Zafar.
During the mission, the group helped pack food cartons at an SKT Welfare warehouse. They then distributed 500 essential food parcels directly to displaced Palestinian families.
The team also visited injured Palestinians in hospitals and at their homes. Besides providing practical assistance, the actors spent time listening to patients and offering emotional support.
Actors Spend Time With Gaza Children
The delegation also arranged a special afternoon for children from Gaza. The event included activities, interaction and a shared hot meal.
For Palestinians who travelled to Jordan for medical treatment, daily life can bring challenges beyond their medical needs. They may also require accommodation, food and transport for hospital visits.
SKT Welfare provides these services to displaced families throughout the year. Its support includes accommodation, meals and transport for patients attending essential medical appointments.
SKT Welfare Expands Gaza Relief Work
The Jordan mission follows a similar SKT Welfare effort in 2025. During that campaign, volunteers distributed food parcels and hygiene kits across refugee camps in Jordan.
The charity said the earlier programme reached around 76,000 people. Meanwhile, its wider humanitarian work continues across several areas affected by conflict and displacement.
“Humanitarian response means staying connected to people as their circumstances change,” SKT Welfare CEO Asif Hussain said.
“For some families that means support inside Gaza. For others it means support in Jordan, where they have come for treatment. This week our team met families directly, heard what they needed and acted on it.”
Aid Continues Inside Gaza
SKT Welfare also continues its humanitarian programmes inside Gaza. These include food distributions, hot meals, clean water, medical assistance, hygiene supplies and emergency shelter.
According to the charity, its Gaza programmes reached more than 350,000 people in 2025. Its clean-water programme alone supported 225,450 people.
The Jordan mission highlights the importance of supporting displaced families beyond emergency food assistance. By combining material aid with medical support and human connection, humanitarian teams can address some of the wider challenges families face during displacement.
For the Pakistani actors involved, the mission also offered an opportunity to directly engage with families and communities affected by the ongoing crisis.
