ISLAMABAD: Banks will start receiving applications for the Government Hajj Scheme 2027 next week. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will also announce the official Hajj policy and schedule soon.
Government and private quotas finalized
According to the sources, 107,832 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the government scheme, representing 60 percent of Pakistanโs total quota. Meanwhile, 71,888 pilgrims will travel under the Private Hajj Scheme, which accounts for the remaining 40 percent.
Moreover, overseas Pakistanis will also be eligible to submit Hajj applications and pay the required dues through the designated procedure.
Packages and expected costs
Sources said the government will collect Hajj expenses in two installments. Furthermore, applicants will have the option to choose between long-duration and short-duration Hajj packages.
The estimated cost for the long-duration package is likely to be around Rs1.2 million. Meanwhile, the short-duration package is expected to cost approximately Rs1.3 million.
In addition, previously registered pilgrims will be required to submit their Hajj dues to complete the process. The Ministry of Religious Affairs is expected to release the detailed policy, schedule, and application guidelines in the coming days.
