The Jinnah Peoples Train is ready for public service after the completion of a 32-kilometre railway track upgrade. The project connects Kuchlak with Sariab.
Jinnah Peoples Train Project Completed in 120 Days
The railway track upgrade was completed within just 120 days. The project carries a cost of Rs3 billion and includes seven stations along the route.
The Jinnah Peoples Train route runs from Kuchlak to Sariab. The stations include Kuchlak, Baleli, Sheikh Manda, GOR, Quetta, Lor Karez and Sariab.
The upgraded route is expected to provide a new commuting option for people travelling between Quetta and surrounding areas.
Train Set to Open for Public
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has announced that the Jinnah Peoples Train will soon open for public service.
He said the train would offer a safe, comfortable and affordable travel option for residents of Quetta and nearby areas.
The service is also expected to support the daily travel needs of different sections of the community. These include students, employees, businesspeople and other members of the public.
