583 more cases tested positive for coronavirus in last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: From the 31,168 tests conducted for Coronavirus disease in the past 24 hours, 583 cases have been declared positive. The virus has claimed 9 more lives during the past 24 hours and the total number of death toll due to Covid-19 now stands at 6,544.


As per the statistics of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), amongst 3,761,389 total samples tested for the infection till this date, 302,375 have recovered. However, 497 Coronavirus patients are still in critical condition. Sindh has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases whereas Azad Jammu & Kashmir has reported the lowest number of coronavirus cases as compared to other provinces of Pakistan.


So far, Sindh has reported 139,195 cases of the coronavirus, Punjab 100,272, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 38,175, Baluchistan 15,460, Islamabad 17,009, Gilgit Baltistan 3,886, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir 2,937.
