According to the military’s media wing, Munir praised the morale and professionalism of officers and soldiers. He directed formations to maintain constant vigilance and the highest level of operational readiness to counter existing and emerging threats.
CDF Vows Firm Action Against Militants
Field Marshal Munir reiterated that the armed forces would continue operations against what Pakistani authorities describe as India-sponsored terrorist groups.
He vowed that security forces would pursue these groups wherever they were found. He also stressed the importance of public support in the fight against terrorism.
The military chief paid tribute to security personnel who lost their lives while defending the country. He expressed confidence that continued operations, combined with national support, would help defeat militant networks and their ideology.
The allegations of Indian sponsorship reflect Pakistan’s official position on the security threat. India has historically rejected accusations of supporting terrorism in Pakistan.
Focus on Counterterrorism and Border Security
The visit comes amid continuing security challenges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where authorities have intensified efforts against militant groups.
