Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced the entry test schedule for PhD, MPhil, and MS admissions for the Autumn 2026 semester. The university will conduct tests from August 24 to August 28, 2026.
According to the official schedule, applicants for Faculty of Education programs will take their entry tests on August 24. Meanwhile, candidates applying for programs under the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities will appear on August 27.
Tests Scheduled Across Multiple Faculties
The Faculty of Sciences will conduct its entry test on August 28, 2026. All examinations will begin at 9:00 AM, while applicants can choose any listed test centre based on their convenience.
However, candidates must appear on the date assigned to their respective faculty. AIOU will conduct the tests at its Academic Complex on the main campus in H-8, Islamabad, as well as regional campuses in Multan, Quetta, Karachi, and Gilgit.
Only Successful Candidates Will Reach Interviews
AIOU has clarified that only candidates who qualify for the PhD, MPhil, or MS entry test will receive interview invitations. Therefore, applicants must successfully complete the test stage before progressing to the next phase.
The university will determine final merit after completing both the entry test and interview process. Applicants should follow the announced schedule and check the university’s official instructions before appearing at their selected test centre.
