ISLAMABAD: Afghan Consul General Hafiz Mohibullah Shakir has encouraged Afghan citizens residing in Pakistan to begin preparing for their return, stating there have been no complaints from Pakistani authorities regarding their presence.
In his remarks, Mohibullah expressed heartfelt gratitude to Pakistan for generously hosting Afghan refugees for over four decades, enabling them to access education, employment, and business opportunities.
He emphasized the need for Afghan nationals to return and take part in rebuilding their country, which he described as now enjoying peace and stability following the withdrawal of foreign military forces.
Addressing concerns about women’s education, the consul general clarified that there are no bans in place, but reforms are underway to establish a secure and supportive environment for female students.
