With cricket enthusiasts across the globe counting down to the Asia Cup 2025, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has issued a stern warning after reports of unauthorised ticket sales for the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan showdown surfaced online.
In an official statement, the ACC clarified that tickets for the tournament, including the marquee clash on September 14 in Dubai, have not yet been released. The council urged fans to exercise caution and avoid falling victim to fraudulent resellers or scam websites.
“Any tickets currently on sale are unauthorised, fraudulent, and will not grant entry,” the ACC stressed. “A formal announcement regarding ticket sales will be made soon by the ACC and Emirates Cricket Board.”
Unprecedented Demand for India vs Pakistan
The India–Pakistan rivalry, one of the most-watched spectacles in world cricket, has once again generated overwhelming demand. Their group-stage meeting in Dubai on September 14 is already being billed as a sellout event, with possibilities of another clash if both teams advance to the Super 4 stage — and potentially even meet again in the final on September 28.
With the excitement building, the ACC has advised supporters to purchase tickets only through authorised platforms once the official sale begins. This step, officials said, is crucial to protect fans from financial loss and ensure fair access to tickets.
India’s Group-Stage Fixtures

Sept 10: India vs UAE (Dubai)
-
Sept 14: India vs Pakistan (Dubai)
-
Sept 19: India vs Oman (Abu Dhabi)
If India top Group A, they will play all their Super 4 matches in Dubai. A second-place finish, however, would see them split games between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The Super 4 stage is scheduled from September 20–26, with the final set for September 28 in Dubai.
Squad Announcements Stir Debate
Beyond ticket concerns, squad announcements have already sparked discussions among fans and analysts.
For India, selectors retained Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube, while leaving out Shreyas Iyer and teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Pakistan, meanwhile, continue to exclude star batter Babar Azam and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan from T20s, with head coach Mike Hesson noting Babar is “working on improving against spin and strike rate.”
Hosts UAE, led by coach Lalchand Rajput, face a daunting challenge as they open against both India and Pakistan. Rajput said the team is aiming to cause at least one major upset to demonstrate their growth on the international stage.
The build-up to Asia Cup 2025 has already intensified — and with the India–Pakistan clash at the centre of attention, the ACC’s warning serves as a timely reminder for fans to stay alert and secure their seats only through official channels.
