The Balochistan government has dismissed 25 female medical officers from service over alleged deliberate absence from duty.
The provincial health department took disciplinary action against the doctors on Thursday, September 10.
According to a notification issued by Balochistan Health Secretary Mujeebur, the medical officers were dismissed under the BEDA Act, 2011.
The action affects doctors serving at major medical facilities and health institutions across the province.
Doctors Dismissed Over Absence From Duty
The notification stated that the dismissed medical officers included doctors from Civil Hospital and Bolan Medical Complex.
It also included doctors serving in different districts across Balochistan.
The department cited their deliberate absence from assigned duties as the basis for disciplinary action.
