ISLAMABAD/PAKPATTAN: Pakpattan police arrested a female TikToker for filming in police uniform. Police also registered an FIR at the City Police Station against Shumaila Aslam.
According to police, the video went viral on social media and prompted District Police Officer Javed Iqbal Chadhar to order an inquiry. Following the DPO’s instructions, City SHO Inspector Ashiq Abid Mahar and a police team arrested the woman.
Meanwhile, police are investigating how the suspect obtained the uniform. Officials are also examining whether any police personnel helped her obtain or misuse the uniform. Authorities said they would conduct the investigation on merit and take legal action against anyone found responsible.
Constable dies during custody
Separately, Constable Zahid Sukhera, the main suspect in the kidnapping and murder of a female government schoolteacher, died while in police custody. Police had arrested Zahid, a wireless operator with Pakpattan Patrolling Police, over the killing of Rehana Akhtar.
According to authorities, the suspect kidnapped the teacher with the help of accomplices before killing her. Police said the suspects later set her body on fire, apparently to conceal her identity.
District Police Officer Javed Chaddar said Zahid died from a heart attack while in custody.
Authorities shifted his body to Pakpattan District Headquarters Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, police said investigations into both cases remain underway.
