LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: In the Lahore High Court, a petition has been initiated against the upcoming Aurat March scheduled for the month of March. Advocate Rana Sikandar, representing citizen Azam Butt, filed the petition.
The petitioner raised concerns regarding the potential disturbance of peace and order due to the Aurat March procession. It was argued that the placards and banners typically seen at the Aurat March are deemed unacceptable in Islamic society.
The petition names the Lahore deputy commissioner and others as respondents. Emphasizing that women’s rights are constitutionally guaranteed, the petitioner urged for efforts to enhance women’s welfare.
The petition calls for an end to what is deemed as the unethical promotion of the Aurat March.
The petitioner highlighted the right of any individual to approach the court if they feel their fundamental rights are being infringed upon.
Annually, to commemorate International Women’s Day, the Aurat March organizes sociopolitical rallies in various Pakistani cities including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, and Quetta.
Meanwhile, during last year’s Aurat March, the women participants displayed some disgusting, indecent, un-Islamic, and annoying banners.
After seeing the placards and indecent banners, on cannot believe that Pakistan is an Islamic Republic.

Expression of freedom is the right of every citizen, but using shameful, disgusting and annoying words and language, we don’t use at homes, in offices and public place, is very disturbing.

Here is one more disturbing picture with banner.
Below are more glimpses of Aurat March, held in Pakistan on March 8, in connection with the International Women Day.

Every year, rallies are organized across Pakistan under the banner of Aurat March. Every decent person upholds the dignity of women in our society, but using vulgar banners, slogans, and placards in the name of Aurat March badly tarnishes the image of those who use this day to highlight vulgarity.
