YMCA Empowers Youth with Cybersecurity Skills in ‘Cyber Friday’ Workshop

The Lahore YMCA recently organized a timely training workshop named ‘Cyber Friday’ to educate young individuals about the potential risks and pitfalls of the virtual world. With the proliferation of online platforms, the workshop aimed to empower participants, especially youth, with essential cybersecurity skills.

Held at the YMCA Hall, the workshop drew a significant turnout of students from various educational institutions, reflecting the growing concern over cyber threats targeting young people. Distinguished leaders from diverse fields also attended the event, underlining the importance of addressing cybersecurity challenges in today’s digital age.

The one-day workshop provided practical insights and tools to help participants navigate the complexities of social media and safeguard themselves against exploitation and cyber threats. Haroon Rehmat, Director of Lahore YMCA, presided over the event as the chief guest, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to community welfare and empowerment. Alongside Emanuel Sarfraz, the General Secretary of YMCA, Rehmat awarded certificates to participants upon the workshop’s conclusion.

Rehmat expressed the YMCA’s dedication to organizing impactful programs to benefit communities, highlighting the importance of equipping individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the challenges of the digital era effectively.
