Today, Pakistan carried out a series of precision military strikes against terrorist hideouts in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchestan province. The operation, named ‘Marg Bar Sarmachar’ (Death to Rebels), targeted hideouts used by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF).
In recent years, Pakistan has consistently expressed concerns to Iran about the safe havens and sanctuaries enjoyed by terrorists of Pakistani origin, self-identifying as Sarmachars, within Iran’s ungoverned spaces. Pakistan has provided concrete evidence of the presence and activities of these terrorists through multiple dossiers.
The operation was conducted based on credible intelligence indicating an imminent large-scale terrorist activity by these individuals. The strikes were executed with precision, utilizing killer drones, rockets, loitering munitions, and stand-off weapons to minimize collateral damage.
The targeted hideouts housed notorious terrorists, including Dosta alias Chairman, Bajjar alias Soghat, Sahil alias Shafaq, Asghar alias Basham, and Wazir alias Wazi, among others.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) affirms that Pakistan remains committed to safeguarding its national security against all threats. The successful execution of this operation underscores the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Pakistan reaffirms its respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The operation’s sole objective was to protect Pakistan’s own security and national interests, and it was not meant to compromise Iran’s sovereignty.
As a responsible member of the international community, Pakistan upholds the principles and purposes of the UN Charter, including the territorial integrity and sovereignty of member states. Pakistan asserts its legitimate right within international law to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any challenge.
Pakistan considers Iran a brotherly country, and the people of Pakistan hold great respect and affection for the Iranian people. The emphasis remains on dialogue and cooperation to address common challenges, including the menace of terrorism, and to find joint solutions.
