On Monday, Captain (retired) Jamil, a former member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), officially joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and announced his candidacy for the upcoming elections in NA-231 Karachi under the PML-N’s banner.
Captain (retired) Jamil emphasized his active participation in the electoral race for NA-231.
Earlier in the month, several notable figures, including former Punjab Assembly deputy speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari, aligned themselves with the PML-N following discussions with PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif. Among the prominent personalities joining PML-N were Maulana Asif, Babar Khan Sial, Neelam Sial, Chaudhry Khalid Ghani, Ameer Abbas Sial, Faisal Hayat Jabboana, Raees Muhammad Ibrahim, and Sardar Riaz Khan Mazari.
Welcoming the new additions, Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude and stated, “The PML-N is a house dedicated to ensuring the prosperity of the country.” He emphasized the significance of these new inclusions, stating that their involvement in the PML-N would accelerate the process of uplifting the nation. Former Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the party’s capability in addressing issues such as inflation.
