The prequel to Season 2 of ‘Game of Thrones,’ titled ‘House of the Dragon Season 2,’ is scheduled to premiere in the upcoming year, and author George R.R. Martin has shared insights about the upcoming episodes. According to Martin, two episodes of the second season will be dark and violent.
In a blog post, George R.R. Martin discussed his recent trip and highlighted a sneak preview of the first two episodes of ‘House of the Dragon Season 2,’ provided by showrunner Ryan Condal.
Martin expressed his subjective view, acknowledging the dark and powerful nature of the episodes, mentioning that they may evoke strong emotions, including the possibility of making viewers cry.
He mentioned, “Dark, mind you. Very dark. They may make you cry. Powerful, emotional, gut-wrenching, heart-rending. Just the sort of thing I like.”
The HBO head, Casey Bloys, had previously confirmed that the second season would return in the summer of 2024. The prequel series is based on George R.R. Martin’s novel series ‘A Song of Ice and Fire,’ which served as the foundation for the immensely popular ‘Game of Thrones.’
