The management issues of the Sindh Premier League (SPL) have been successfully resolved, and the SPL has reached an agreement with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The inaugural edition of the Sindh Premier League is now scheduled to take place next year.
The SPL had initially been postponed due to the Patron’s Cup, and it was reported that the Sindh Premier League Management, with the support of the Sindh government, approached the PCB to address the matter. According to sources, the leadership of the People’s Party directed Zaka Ashraf to oversee the SPL.
The Sindh Premier League is set to be held in Karachi from January 25 to February 5. However, in a recent statement, the SPL management announced a rescheduling of the league.
“After careful consideration and with the aim of enhancing the overall league experience, the organizing committee has decided to reschedule the SPL to new dates, now set from January 25 to February 5, 2024,” the statement read.
“This extension provides us with the opportunity to meticulously plan and execute an event that upholds the expected standards of excellence for the SPL. The decision follows a thorough assessment to ensure a more favorable environment for the participation and enjoyment of all those involved,” the statement further explained.
