When releasing preliminary results, it is important to note that these results are unofficial and incomplete. Unless the returning officer declares them, they will not be final.

As per the code of conduct, national media will uphold Pakistan’s ideology and sovereignty during the election campaign, refraining from broadcasting biased opinions that may undermine the independence and integrity of security, the judiciary, and other national institutions.

In cases where one candidate accuses another, both sides must confirm the allegations. PEMRA, PTA, PID, and the Digital Wing of the Ministry of Information will actively monitor the coverage of political parties and candidates.

The election media campaign will conclude 48 hours before the election day. International media and observers have to submit their visa applications promptly and they cannot stay beyond their visa period.

The code of conduct mandates respect for Pakistan’s sovereignty, individual freedoms, and fundamental rights. Observers have to ensure that their observations and reporting remain impartial, objective, and accurate. International media personnel and observers must refrain from wearing the insignia or colors of any political party.

Similarly, in accordance with the code of conduct, national observers have to respect national sovereignty and the fundamental rights of individuals. They must show respect for the country’s culture and traditions, and any violation may lead to the cancellation of their accreditation.
