ISLAMABAD: The newly elected Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Gulbar Khan, has announced the composition of his 14-member cabinet.
The Cabinet Division released a notification late on Monday night outlining the cabinet’s structure. The cabinet consists of four senior ministers, eight ministers, and two advisers.
Syed Amjad Zaidi, the Senior Minister, has been assign the portfolio of Housing. Another Senior Minister, Ghulam Muhammad will oversee the Food and Tourism departments. Engineer Mohammad Ismail, also a Senior Minister, will be in charge of Finance. Lastly, Senior Minister Abdul Hameed will handle local government affairs.
Fathullah Khan has been appoints as the Development and Planning Minister, while Sohail Abbas will be responsible for Law and Health. Shamsul Haq will take charge of the Interior Ministry. Ghulam Shahzad Agha has been assign the Education portfolio, and Dilshad Bano will oversee Social Welfare and Women’s Development.
Mushtaq Hussain has been designates as the Water and Electricity Minister, and Haji Rahmat Khaliq will be responsible for Excise and Taxation. Haji Shah Baig has been appointed as an advisor to the Chief Minister and will handle the portfolios of Forests, Wildlife, and Environment.
however, Soraya Zaman has been appoint as the Chief Minister’s advisor, responsible for the Information Technology portfolio. The cabinet members are schedule to take their oath at the Governor’s House today, administered by Governor Syed Mehdi Shah.
Haji Gulbar Khan, CM of Gilgit-Baltistan
As the new Chief Minister, Haji Gulbar Khan will be responsible for leading the provincial government and implementing policies and initiatives to address the needs and aspirations of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. His election signifies a transfer of power and the beginning of a new administration in the region.
