Fridge’s Compressor Blast

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: In a most tragic incident, 10 members of the same family died in fire in Lahore. The victims include an infant and women in Bhati Gate area in Lahore early this morning.

The compressor of refrigerator of the ill-fated exploded early morning on Wednesday causing 10 casualties.

Rescue officials reaches the spot to overcome fire in Lahore.

Among the deceased are a man, his wife, two other women, five children and a seven-month-old baby. Only one member of the family survived the tragedy. He managed to escape the fire by jumping off the building.

According to the rescue officials, the fire broke out after an explosion in fridge’s compressor. There was not ventilation in the house to emit the smoke out.

The victims, identified so far are Adil Hussain, Saira Bano, Farzana, Amber, Ghazal, Fatima. Doctors are identifying remaining victims of fire.

he bodies of the deceased will be handed over to the heirs after completion of identification and medico-legal formalities.

Chief Minister Punjab seeks report of the incident

Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi took notice of the matter and sought a report from the Lahore commissioner.

The CM also ordered a comprehensive investigation into the matter and offered his condolences to the heirs of the deceased family.

“After insulting the holy Quran and granting of permission for insulting of Muslim beliefs, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan stopping all activities of Sweden in Afghanistan,” said Zabiullah Mujahid. Mujahid is a spokesman for the Taliban administration.
