FM Bilawal Launches ‘Share Pakistan Portal’

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari actively introduced the ‘Share Pakistan Portal,’ a digital repository created for better-targeted communication between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its more than 100 diplomatic posts overseas.

The foreign minister made remarks at the launch event in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board (NITB), stating that the recently introduced online standardised information system would gather and convey the impact of public diplomacy initiatives in alignment with the goals of Pakistani foreign policy.

In order to improve the ministry’s capability to efficiently carry out its responsibilities through management changes, Bilawal emphasised his founding of the “Foreign Minister’s Change Management Initiative.”

He claimed that a group of experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and diplomatic missions abroad worked together to develop a number of reform proposals in a variety of fields, including human resources, finance, logistics, communication, counselling, protocol, and community services, in order to bring this vision to fruition. To digitise and streamline regulations, policies, and procedures was the goal.

He made it clear that the goal of his “Change Management Initiative” was to promote a work environment that places a premium on productivity gains, innovation, and decentralised decision-making.

Change Management Initiative

The complete report on the “Change Management Initiative,” according to the foreign minister, will not only address but also transform the diplomatic service, preparing it to successfully handle the new realities and difficulties of the modern world.

Bilawal emphasised that the ‘Change Management Initiative’ will create a streamlined communication path between the ministry and the country’s diplomatic missions abroad.

He continued by stating that they created the portal with the express purpose of streamlining communication and facilitating information sharing both horizontally and vertically between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its diplomatic missions abroad.

He emphasised how the portal would improve the effectiveness and openness of many public diplomacy operations.

As the first site to launch that combined digital technology into both public diplomacy strategic outreach initiatives and institutions, the paperless digital tool represented a significant milestone, according to the foreign minister.

Bilawal stated:

“It will be used in diplomacy for outreach decision support, drafting strategic communication, translating foreign policy, and analysis of latest trends.”
