178 More PTI Workers Arrested Across Punjab in Connection with Violence Cases:

The Punjab police have detained an additional 178 members of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) from various districts in Punjab in connection with the violent complaints filed against them.

According to a Punjab police spokesperson, these individuals were involved in attacking secure facilities, law enforcement personnel, police vehicles, as well as ordinary civilians’ homes and cars.

The spokesperson added that 3,368 people had been arrested in Punjab as a whole since May 9, when PTI supporters protested on the streets of the province, sparking violent occurrences.

The spokesperson further disclosed that attacks carried out by the enraged PTI supporters in Lahore and other regions of Punjab resulted in injuries to a total of 162 senior and junior police officials.

The enraged mob, according to the spokesperson, set fire to and damaged 94 police cars as well as 22 public and private structures, including police stations.

Twenty-two police cars were burned out in Lahore, twenty-one in Faisalabad, and nineteen in Rawalpindi.

The spokesperson made it clear that those guilty of the vandalism, arson, and violence against both private and public facilities, as well as the assault on civilians, are facing legal consequences.

In addition, 670 people involved in destroying property, attacking government buildings, and engaging in violent crimes have been captured, according to the Lahore police spokeswoman.

It was stated that 22 police cars were set on fire during the attacks in Lahore.

A total of 34 First Information Reports (FIRs) have been filed in various police stations against members of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).

16 of these FIRs were filed in the Cantt division, 10 in Model Town, 7 in Civil Lines, and 1 in the Saddar division.
