The authorities have announced that they will not renew the UAE visas of Pakistanis who are depriving their children of education.
Bakheet Ateeq Al-Remeithi, the UAE Consul General in Karachi, said:
The UAE government will severely enforce its visa acquisition restrictions for Pakistanis under the age of 18.
He spoke about the Wadeema law.
Wadeema Law is Federal Law No. 3 of 2016 covering child rights and highlighted the Gulf country’s choice to impose tough measures.

He stated:
โUnder the Wadeema law, a large number of Pakistanis who possess work visas in the UAE are violating laws regarding childrenโs rights.โ
The consul general said that these rules specify children’s right to education, and many Pakistanis violate this right by keeping their children at home.
He said:
โThe government has made tough decisions in this regard at an important meeting in the past.โ

The Consul General further added that rules governing children’s rights with families living in the UAE must be enforced, and emphasised the importance of education for children.
โThe UAE government has decided to take action against parents who violate laws protecting children.โ
He said:
โWadeema law is for Pakistanis who possess a work or residence visa.โ
Additionally, Al-Remeithi urged Pakistani expatriate parents in the UAE to protect their children’s rights, such as education, health, and freedom.
Furthermore, he stated that the UAE is home to 16 to 17 million Pakistanis.
He cautioned that the UAE might deport individuals who broke the law and he alerted the media about the new visa acquisition limits that the government had put in place.
โIn the future, visas will be granted to Pakistanis who will assure full implementation of Wadeema law.โ

Furthermore,
Al-Remeithi clarified that there is no restriction on Pakistani nationals applying for a visit visa.
And the new enforcement only applies to Pakistani families residing in the UAE with children under the age of 18.

The Envoy clarified:
โThe UAE government will welcome Pakistan coming to the UAE on a tourist visa and there is no restriction on them from visiting the country.โ
