Instagram has been testing out its new in-app post-scheduling feature with a select group of users over the past few weeks, and it is now rolling it out to all professional accounts.
You can directly plan images, carousels, and reels within the Instagram app up to 75 days in advance thanks to the new post-scheduling feature.
Therefore, you can make a post or record a reel to wish someone a happy birthday, anniversary, or any other significant event in advance.
Reels can be scheduled using:
- In the creation flow, tap ‘Advanced Settings’ before sharing the post
- Tap ‘Schedule this post’
- Select the time and date you want it to go live
- Tap ‘Schedule’ in the post composer
As previously stated, Instagram has been testing the feature for several weeks, culminating in a live test in the middle of last month.
Functionally, this adds nothing new because Creator Studio has allowed you to schedule posts since 2020.
However, it may make it easier to manage your material while on the road, and the ability to plan reels in particular may allow you to make the most of your content.
For the time being, only professional accounts will have access to it, according to Instagram, but anyone can switch to a professional account in the app by turning on the option in account settings.
If you don’t have the option right now, Instagram says it will be available Today.
