On Friday, 85 individuals, including 10 Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) employees, were arrested for allegedly torturing and shooting at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) employees in Faisalabad.
The shooting incident involving PTI employees happened at Mamu Kanjan, a town in Faisalabad. As a result of a citizen named Qudratullah’s complaint, a case was opened at the Mamu Kanjan police station against 85 people under three sections.
75 unidentified men and 10 PML-N members were named as nominees in the case. The accused tortured the complainant’s nephew Gul Nawaz, who as a result of the brutality lost an eye.
When PTI workers were demonstrating against the gun attack on Imran Khan, a violent event occurred.
At the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) sit-in in Faisalabad yesterday to protest the attack on party chairman Imran Khan during the lengthy march, unidentified assailants opened fire.
PTI leader Abu Bakar claimed that the assailants arrived in a jeep and started shooting at the protesters, including former federal minister Farrukh Habib and MPA Mian Waris.
In addition, Abu Bakr claimed that after opening fire, the attackers ran toward the camp of Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and charged the police with receiving orders from elsewhere.
