With a new update, Windows will finally get one of its much-requested features. Microsoft is introducing even more features to the OS after delivering the Windows 11 2022 Update last month, and these should be available to everyone soon.
File Explorer tabs, which have been a long-awaited feature for every Windows user, are the biggest change with the new update. Along with this, the design has been changed to make it easier to locate preferred files and access folders quickly.
File Explorer tabs enable you to open up the various drives, folders, or other sections of the file explorer in a single window, just like internet browsers do. These tabs are always available and can be moved around at will.
Microsoft first used the term “Sets” when experimenting with tabs and Windows 10 apps. After Microsoft stopped the project and never released Sets to the final versions of Windows, it never made it to Windows 10.
This is how it appears in Windows 11.
In addition to tabs, Microsoft is bringing suggested actions to Windows 11. When you copy dates, phone numbers, or other items, these will appear as prompts and will suggest creating an event for the specific date with options to call on Skype, Teams, or Phone Link. There will also be the option to mark the date on your calendars.
The upgrade contains a lot more, including enhancements for accessibility. If you already have Windows 11, all you have to do to acquire this update is check your Windows Update. Even though it may not yet be accessible to everyone, most people are seeing it. You can find all the information directly from Microsoft on the Windows Blog.
Microsoft is implementing the request made by Windows users for Task Manager to return to the taskbar. By doing this, you will be able to right-click anywhere on the taskbar and add a shortcut to the Task Manager there. In the event that you have too many programmes open on a small screen, a taskbar overflow space will also be there to clear the clutter.
The sharing experience in Windows 11 will be enhanced with easy access to programmes like Photos, Xbox, and others.
The new version should be accessible through the Windows Update setting in settings and has already begun to spread around the world.
