UK Sikh ‘Harnaam Kaur’ enters Guinness Record for having thickest beard in the world

According to Guinness World Records, a model with six-inch-long facial hair has set the record for the youngest woman in the world to have a full beard.

Harnaam Kaur, a 24-year-old Slough, Berkshire, resident who campaigns for body positivity, called it “humbling” to be recognised.

She explained that growing a beard was a part of her effort to deal with her appearance after years of bullying.

The longest pet cat and a llama capable of high jumps have also been added to the list of record-breakers.

Ms. Kaur has polycystic ovary syndrome, a hormonal disorder that can cause excessive facial hair to grow.

She was the first woman to walk the runway at London Fashion Week in March 2016 while sporting a beard.
