Imran Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stated on Tuesday that he had “enough” of the “intense propaganda” that opposing allied parties had been putting out against him.
Imran hinted at the possibility of a rebuttal to the onslaught he has faced for his statements against the selection process followed by the army chief.

At a public rally held on Sunday at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, the former prime minister made the allegation that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari wanted to appoint the army chief of their choice because if a “strong and patriotic army chief” came, they would be questioned about their “loot.”

Imran Khan’s accusations were referred to as “poisonous” on Monday when they were criticized by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other leaders of the ruling coalition.
CJ Minallah had remarked that Imran “should first decide what he wants” and that he should not “hope that courts will grant any relief after doing all this.” Imran was told that he should “decide what he wants” before he could expect any help from the courts.
Even former President Dr. Arif Alvi has distanced himself from the comments made by the dismissed prime minister about the army chief, saying that the former prime minister should “clarify the words himself.”
In the meantime, the Islamabad High Court voiced its disapproval of the words as it was deliberating on whether or not to prohibit the live streaming of the PTI chief’s speeches.
The judge had urged the head of the PTI, “You should also hold yourself accountable,” about the incident.
Later in the day, the Pakistan Army issued a statement in which it said it was “aghast at the defamatory and uncalled for a statement about the senior leadership of Pakistan Army by [the] chairman PTI during a political rally at Faisalabad.”
