BEIJING/ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said India’s aggressive behaviour and the prevailing Hindutva ideology was a threat to regional peace and a cause of lingering instability of the region.
PM Khan stated this in Beijing during his four-day visit to participate on Beijing Olympics and to hold meetings with Chinese leaders. Prime Minister Imran Khan held an exclusive session with the heads and representatives of leading Chinese think tanks, universities and the Pakistan Study Centre in Beijing to highlight regional threats and role of India in spoiling peace.
He said the present Indian government was causing long-lasting instability in the region.

He said, “The atrocities of India are continuing in Indian-Occupied Kashmir (IoK) and the world must not ignore the ongoing atrocities of Indian forces in Kashmir.
Premier appreciated China’s unwavering support to the IoK dispute, emphasising the importance of Pak-China relations and ensuring stability in the region.
“In view of myriad global challenges, the world did not need another Cold War. Divisions could result in mounting sufferings and prevent common benefits. Pakistan was, therefore, of the belief that the key driver in international politics should be cooperation, rather than confrontation,” he said.
PM Khan also highlighted the significance of Sino-Pak relations in ensuring regional stability and prosperit during the meeting.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s All-Weather Strategic Partnership with China, Khan termed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a flagship initiative of President Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road Initiative.
Prime Minister of Pakistan pointed out that the Phase-I of the CPEC primarily focused on infrastructure development and connectivity, while the next phase would promote industrialisation, information technology and agricultural transformation.
He said that Pakistan was offering many incentives for investment that were at par with or better than other investment destinations in the world.
Discussing the regional dynamics, the premier said that he believed that it was in the mutual interest of Pakistan and China to cooperate in ensuring peace and security in Afghanistan.
