Some special awards are being announced before the official ceremony. Online voting for other categories is open till November 1.

The Pakistan International Screen Awards (PISA) has announced the winners in two categories ahead of its November 5 ceremony in Dubai and Hasan Raheem and Umair Jaswal have bagged top prizes.

Nominations were announced earlier this month and most winners will be decided by online voting, with the exception of the special awards — such as the PISA Youth Icon of the Year Award 2020 and the Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award 2020.

The PISA Youth Icon of the Year Award 2020 has been awarded to actor, singer-songwriter, and music producer Umair Jaswal.

The musician began his career in 2008 as the lead vocalist of the rock band Qayaas and has since had musical collaborations with legend Abida Parveen, Atif Aslam, and Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch, a TV appearance in Mor Mahal opposite Meesha Shafi and a Lollywood debut in Yalghar.

Singer Hasan Raheem has been awarded the PISA Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award for 2020.

Raheem’s popular releases include ‘Aisay Kaisay’, which he collaborated with Abdullah Kasumbi on, and his latest song, ‘Joona’

Other special awards not open to online voting include Model of the Year Male and Female, Singer of the Year and Best TV Actor and Best TV Actress (Jury).
