Interior Minister Declares No Dialogue with PTI Protesters

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi firmly rejected the prospect of engaging in dialogue with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members planning a sit-in at Islamabad’s D-Chowk. Speaking at a press conference alongside Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar in the federal capital, Naqvi emphasized the government’s stance against negotiation.

During the briefing, Naqvi indirectly criticized Bushra Bibi, the wife of jailed PTI chairman Imran Khan, without explicitly naming her. He stated, “A woman is orchestrating this unrest,” hinting at her involvement in the ongoing political turmoil.

The interior minister’s remarks underline the government’s determination to counter the planned protests, describing them as a threat to public order. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the capital, warning against any disruptions that could arise from the demonstrations.

Federal Information Minister Tarar also addressed the media, reiterating the government’s resolve to prevent any activities that could lead to chaos or instability. He assured that law enforcement agencies were fully prepared to manage the situation effectively.

The government’s strong stance signals its unwillingness to compromise with PTI over its planned sit-in, heightening tensions between the political factions.
