Hajj Applications
ISLAMABAD: By Monday evening, the Ministry of Religious Affairs announced that a total of 20,170 Hajj applications had been submitted under the Government Hajj Scheme.
The process for receiving applications remains ongoing at designated banks across the country, providing potential pilgrims ample time to participate in the program.
The deadline for submitting applications under this scheme is set for December 3. Following the submission period, a transparent balloting process will take place on December 6 to allocate the available slots. This balloting is designed to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all eligible applicants.
A notable feature of this year’s Hajj program is the allocation of a special quota of 5,000 slots reserved exclusively for overseas Pakistanis.
Applications under this category are being processed on a first-come, first-served basis, reflecting the government’s commitment to facilitating Pakistani expatriates who wish to undertake the sacred pilgrimage.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to ensure that both domestic and international applicants have equitable access to the program.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has urged all prospective pilgrims to submit their applications well before the deadline to avoid last-minute complications.
This year’s program aims to accommodate a significant number of pilgrims, reflecting the government’s commitment to streamlining the Hajj process and ensuring a smooth experience for all participants.
With designated banks efficiently handling the application process, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Officials expect the number of applications to rise substantially as the deadline approaches.
This robust response underscores the importance of the Hajj pilgrimage for the Muslim community and the government’s dedication to facilitating this spiritual journey for as many citizens as possible.
Through initiatives like the special overseas quota and a transparent balloting system, the government aims to make this year’s Hajj arrangements inclusive, accessible, and efficient, ensuring a memorable experience for all pilgrims.
