Major General Mohammed Gadih, Inspector General of the Royal Moroccan Air Force, met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu on Wednesday at the Air Headquarters in Islamabad to explore ways of enhancing military cooperation between Pakistan and Morocco.
The discussions centered on joint training programs, air power collaboration, and potential industrial cooperation, further strengthening the historical ties between the two countries.
A Guard of Honour was presented to Major General Gadih by a smartly turned-out contingent of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) personnel upon his arrival, as noted in a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The meeting was described as “productive,” with both leaders reaffirming their shared commitment to deepening military cooperation. Air Chief Marshal Sidhu warmly welcomed Major General Gadih and wished him well on his first official visit to Pakistan.
Sidhu emphasized the importance of joint training programs, stressing that such initiatives would benefit both the Moroccan and Pakistani air forces by improving operational efficiency and fostering stronger bilateral ties. He specifically pointed out the opportunity for Moroccan Air Force personnel to participate in both basic and tactical-level training alongside PAF personnel.
During the talks, Major General Gadih praised the Pakistan Air Force’s technological advancements, especially its progress in the aerospace industry. He expressed keen interest in learning from Pakistan’s achievements, particularly in aerospace infrastructure, highlighting the National Aerospace Science & Technology Park as an example of Pakistan’s capabilities.
The meeting also covered potential areas of collaboration, including joint military exercises, industrial partnerships, and knowledge-sharing in air power applications. Following the discussions, Major General Gadih visited key facilities at Air Headquarters, including the National ISR & Integrated Air Operations Centre and the PAF Cyber Command, to witness firsthand Pakistan’s defense and technological advancements.
Both sides expressed a strong desire to expand their cooperation in training, military exercises, and industrial innovation, marking a significant step toward a deeper defense partnership between Pakistan and Morocco.
