Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee and former President, has asserted that his campaign is assembling a “record-breaking” coalition of Arab and Muslim voters in Michigan, attributing their support to his peace-focused message.
“We’re creating the largest, most diverse coalition in American political history, including unprecedented numbers of Arab and Muslim voters in Michigan who desire PEACE,” Trump wrote on X on Monday, a day before the presidential election.
“These voters know that Kamala and her war-driven administration will bring conflict to the Middle East, causing devastation and risking World War III. VOTE TRUMP, AND RESTORE PEACE!” he urged.
Ahead of the election, both the Trump and Harris campaigns have intensified their outreach to Arab and Muslim Americans, especially in Michigan, where this community’s support may play a crucial role.
On Friday, Trump visited a halal café in Dearborn, a city known as the “Arab capital of America” for its significant Arab and Muslim population.
‘Rejecting perpetual wars’
The visit followed a recent rally where a group of Muslim leaders publicly endorsed Trump in Michigan, citing his dedication to ending wars.
Trump emphasized that Muslim and Arab voters in Michigan and nationwide want “an end to endless conflicts and a return to peace in the Middle East.”
On Tuesday, Americans will also vote to elect all 435 members of the House of Representatives, 34 Senate seats, and 11 state governors.
So far, over 82 million people have cast their ballots early.
