The second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has been launched, featuring new agricultural and industrial agreements

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed to promote digital transformation as the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) officially begins. This phase is marked by several new agreements aimed at enhancing agriculture and industry in Pakistan.

One significant agreement, valued at $400 million, was signed between Pakistan’s International Innovation Park Limited and China National Cereals, Oils, and Foodstuffs in Beijing. This deal is expected to provide duty-free access for various Pakistani products in global markets, boosting the country’s agricultural exports.

These agreements represent a major step forward in economic collaboration between Pakistan and China, as both nations seek to stimulate growth and development through the CPEC initiative. In addition, the MoU will help optimize supply chains in 200 textile factories, a crucial sector for Pakistan’s economy.
