“Meetings Between PTI and the Speaker are Routine” – PTI Leader Barrister Gohar
PTI leader Barrister Gohar has firmly denied any discussions or plans to negotiate directly with the government through the Speaker of the National Assembly.
Addressing recent speculations, Barrister Gohar emphasized that while meetings between PTI and the Speaker are a regular occurrence, they are solely related to parliamentary and Assembly affairs.
“As an opposition party, our interactions with the Speaker are strictly focused on Assembly business and parliamentary issues,” Barrister Gohar explained. He reiterated that there have been no discussions or intentions of negotiating with the government through the Speaker, nor does PTI plan to pursue such talks.
He further clarified, “No PTI member or delegation has approached the Speaker to discuss engaging with the government. We maintain our position and have no intention of entering into direct negotiations with the government.”
Barrister Gohar also refuted rumors suggesting that PTI had proposed returning to talks through the Speaker, affirming that the party has made no such offers and stands by its current stance.
