The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has recommended nine Armed Forces officers for Pakistan’s civil services. The recommendations were announced in a press release issued on August 25, 2026. The officers qualified through the CSS Competitive Examination 2025 under the special quota for Armed Forces personnel.
Before receiving recommendations, the officers completed psychological assessments and viva voce examinations. FPSC then assessed their performance before making the final allocations.
The selected officers come from the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy. They have been allocated positions across three major occupational groups.
Five officers have secured allocations in the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS). Meanwhile, two officers have been allocated to the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP).
The remaining two officers have received allocations in the Foreign Service of Pakistan (FSP).

The FPSC recommended the following officers under the special quota:
- Capt. Syed Aique Ur Rahman — Pakistan Army — PSP
- Capt. Syed Shehryar Khan — Pakistan Army — PAS
- Capt. Usama Mujtaba — Pakistan Army — PAS
- Capt. Haider Ali — Pakistan Army — PAS
- Flt. Lt. Ash Ali Masood — Pakistan Air Force — FSP
- Capt. Sheraz Ahmed — Pakistan Army — FSP
- Capt. Syed Taimoor Ali — Pakistan Army — PSP
- Flt. Lt. Usamah Ahmad — Pakistan Air Force — PAS
- Lt. Ayaz Hussain — Pakistan Navy — PAS
Armed Forces Officers Enter Civil Services
The CSS system provides a separate route for eligible Armed Forces officers to enter Pakistan’s civil services. Under this arrangement, candidates undergo psychological assessments and interviews before FPSC makes recommendations.
The latest selections demonstrate representation from all three major military services. Most of the recommended officers belong to the Pakistan Army, while the Pakistan Air Force and Navy also have representation.
FPSC said it took due care to ensure the accuracy of the announced results. However, the commission retained the authority to correct any errors or omissions at any stage. The latest recommendations mark another intake of military officers into Pakistan’s civilian administrative structure. The officers will now join their respective occupational groups according to their FPSC allocations.
