Security forces killed at least 15 terrorists in a massive joint clearance operation in Balochistanโs Ziarat district. The provincial government confirmed the successful mission on Tuesday. This decisive action followed a deadly terrorist assault in the region. The neutralized militants belonged to the banned outfit Fitna al-Khawarij.
Multiple security agencies collaborated closely for this high-stakes response. The Frontier Corps, Balochistan Police, and Counter-Terrorism Department led the operation. Furthermore, the Special Operations Wing and Anti-Terrorist Force provided critical tactical support.
Shahid Rind, Adviser to the Chief Minister on Political and Media Affairs, shared the official update. He stated that the operation successfully ended after forces completely cleared the area.
Honoring the Fallen Heroes
Tragically, the initial terrorist ambush claimed the lives of nine brave Balochistan Police officers. The fallen personnel include the Station House Officers of both Mangi and Kawas police stations. Additionally, Anti-Terrorist Force In-charge Head Constable Saifullah died in the line of duty.
However, some trapped officers miraculously survived the intense ordeal. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ghulam Sarwar and eight personnel safely navigated difficult mountainous terrain. They eventually reached the Kach Police Station. Meanwhile, search teams recovered missing Constable Rizwan completely unharmed during the clearance sweep.
Rescue teams are currently shifting the martyrs’ bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital in Ziarat. Medical staff will perform necessary post-mortem examinations and legal formalities there.
The State Vows a Decisive Response
The provincial leadership expressed deep grief but remained resolute against militancy. Shahid Rind emphasized that the sacrifices of the martyrs will never be forgotten, and the government of Balochistan salutes their courage. He also promised that counter-terrorism operations would continue until the state achieves total peace.
The government refuses to back down against violent extremist factions.
โThe state is responding with full force, and the nefarious designs of terrorists have been crushed,โ he said.
Furthermore, Rind made it clear that the province would reject extremist safe havens entirely.
โElements challenging the writ of the state will be brought to justice. The war against terrorism is being pursued with full strength,โ he added.
Security agencies will continue intelligence-based operations to ensure lasting stability across Balochistan.
