Students Shifted to Hospital After Mysterious Incident
Fifteen students of a madrassah in Shikarpur fell unconscious under mysterious circumstances on Saturday. The incident occurred near Town Chak at Madrassah Hizbul Ibrar, creating concern among residents.
The madrassah management and local residents quickly moved the affected students to a nearby hospital. However, doctors later shifted all students to a private hospital in Sukkur because Town Chak Hospital lacked the required medical facilities.
Water Suspected as Possible Cause
According to the madrassah administration, the students had a meal and later drank water. Soon after, they started losing consciousness one after another.
The management expressed concerns that contaminated water could have caused the incident. They suspected that toxic substances in the water tank might have affected the students.
However, authorities have not confirmed the actual cause of the incident. Officials are waiting for investigation results before reaching any conclusion.
Police Begin Investigation Into Incident
Police collected water samples from the madrassah and started an investigation. Relevant departments are also examining the matter from different angles to determine what happened.
