Punjab Police have intensified operations against wanted criminals across the province. Authorities have arrested more than 109,000 proclaimed offenders, habitual criminals and court absconders this year.
The ongoing crackdown targets suspects involved in serious and repeat offences. Police teams have carried out operations across different districts to improve public safety and strengthen law enforcement.
According to Punjab Police, more than 33,000 court absconders have been arrested across the province. The arrests include 5,031 category-A offenders and 28,306 category-B offenders.
Police Arrest Thousands of Habitual Criminals
Police have also arrested 11,990 habitual criminals during the ongoing operations. Among them, 4,213 suspects fall under category-A, while 7,777 belong to category-B.
The figures highlight the scale of the province-wide crackdown. Police continue to focus on individuals who repeatedly evade legal proceedings or face serious criminal allegations.
Authorities are also maintaining operations against proclaimed offenders. These suspects remain wanted in connection with cases and have avoided arrest or court proceedings.
Lahore Records Major Arrests
Lahore has also witnessed extensive police operations against wanted suspects. Police arrested 25,118 proclaimed offenders in the city during the current year.
In addition, authorities arrested 10,696 court absconders and 4,898 habitual criminals in Lahore. The figures make the provincial capital a major focus of the ongoing enforcement campaign.
Punjab Inspector General of Police Abdul Karim praised the teams involved in the arrests. He also appreciated their efforts against serious and repeat offenders across the province.
The IG directed police teams to maintain the crackdown against proclaimed offenders, court absconders and habitual criminals. He instructed officers to ensure that suspects face legal proceedings and are brought to justice.
